Susan was under an oppressive IRS installment agreement, large monthly payment to the IRS, and never getting ahead. Then her boyfriend walks out on her, leaving Susan with a much larger (double!) housing costs every month.
This created two problems for her:
#1 – She can’t afford to pay her new increased monthly expenses AND pay the IRS.
#2 – She can’t move out of the expensive house she is in because she can’t sell her house with a Federal Tax Lien on her credit.
After analyzing her specific situation, it was determined she was in a great position for an Offer in Compromise. Over the course of several months we worked together on all the financial details the IRS requires for a successful Offer in Compromise submission. We submitted the application and all of the required financial details and mountain of support documents.
Then we wait… We waited for the submission to pass the “Processible” requirement. Then we waited for the IRS to process the application. Next comes the IRS agent questions and additional document requests. After 7 months, offer accepted!
Susan pays her OFFER of $2,604 and her old tax debt of over $31,000 is wiped off the books! Success! Debt, never ending payments, stress and Federal tax liens are over!
